Happy New Year greetings and 2013’s summary by HHG.

2013 was a year of constant development.

We’ll shoot on film until it diesAdam’s Perfection”, a feature which we started developing more than a year earlier, got a brilliant script by Alexander Talal, partners’ support and a significant part of the financing. The last year we had a lot of negotiations, in particular, at Cannes Film Market and, for the first time, at AFM in Santa-Monica, CA. One of the world’s best cinematographers, Jose Luis Alcaine, agreed to shoot the movie. Closer to Berlinale we intend to announce our business partners and new crew members names, and the cast.

Short film activity went on as well. Densely Hollow, shot in New York by Christopher James Lopez & Davi Santos and animated by Andrey Shushkov in St. Petersburg, is complete. A private screening took place in Lincoln Center in autumn. The festival circuit will start in 2014. Sex and Breakfast by Victoria Kashtan, shot in Los Angeles, was shown successfully at a number of festivals, including Cannes. We now have seven more shorts in postproduction, including one documentary. New shorts we shot in the US, Russia and Sweden.

HHG Film Company’s CEO Vladislav Pasternak became a member of working group “Culture” at Russian-German civil society forum called “Petersburger Dialog”. He judged and lectured at many Russian film festivals in St. Petersburg, Cherepovets, Vladivostok and other cities. In December Mr. Pasternak gave a lecture on film art and industry at St. Petersburg EY (former Ernst & Young) office.

“Our business is now going global,” producer Vladislav Pasternak says. “Now we are doing only projects that have international appeal, be it fiction, documentary or animation, regardless of their length.”

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Always yours, HHG Film Company
